“IO BAROLO la nuit” proves a success: more than a thousand pockets with stem glasses distributed!

Great satisfaction of producers and public for the event, which took place Saturday, May 30 at the Castle of Roddi (CN).

More than a thousand were the stem glass holder pockets that Strada del Barolo e Grandi Vini di Langa distributed last night, Saturday, May 30, to the many wine lovers arrived in the Castle of Roddi (Cuneo) to taste, premiered, the 2011 Barolo.

The lucky event closes its third edition in the general enthusiasm, on the elegant and cosy set of the small centre of Langa, where the new vintage of Barolo was celebrated together with all the producers who, with their work, continue to make great this wine.

This is the comment of the President of Strada del Barolo Lorenzo Olivero and the managing director Daniele Manzone: “We are all very satisfied: this Barolo promotional event arrives to the heart of the people, as proved by the many tastings, the smiles and the interest of the many attending young people who enjoyed our wine and are learning to understand the real value of Barolo “.

“Io, Barolo – la nuit – continue Olivero and Manzone – confirms to be a unique opportunity to “modernize” the image of this wine in its own land, completing an action that, as Strada del Barolo, we also do outside Italy: with this innovative format, informal, yet elegant and upscale, we are able to attract the attention and engage an audience of attentive and respectful wine lovers.”

In the 20 euro, entitling the pocket with the stem glass and unlimited tastings of Barolo, it was also included a visit to the Roddi Castle led by a tourist guide licensed by the association Turismo in Langa: “We had to double the visits and the guides – said Daniele Manzone – since even the interest in visiting the castle went beyond our expectations. A good sign that suggests the level of the public who took part in the event.”

Long queues at the tasting counters also in Piazza Umberto I, where the protagonists were the other great wines of Langa that, throughout the evening, were served in combination with a selection of local traditional products.
