2008 Barolo and dishes of Visual Food to match

Municipal cellar in La Morra

During the opening weekend of Io Barolo, Sunday 3rd June, for a creative public, who love good and attractive cuisine, at the Cantina Comunale of La Morra there will be the VisualFood® Design Workshop (two meetings, in the morning, the other in the afternoon) with limited access, together with the creator of this art, Rita Loccisano, who comes from Emilia Romagna.

The public will delight in dishes of cold cuts, cheeses, pickles and other gourmet products to “taste” with the eyes first, and then with the mouth, matching them with the 2008 Barolo, courtesy of the Cellar.
Moreover, the “technical” Sponsors of the two workshops will be Agrisalumeria Luiset of Ferrere (AT) for the cold cut supply, Giolito Formaggi of Bra for the cheeses and Cascina San Cassiano for creams and dressings which will give a colourful touch to the preparations.

Rita Loccisano, blogger of ‘A mouse on the table’, is the creator and also one of the greatest experts of Visual Food; a discipline where the food is transformed into tiny works of art; small sculptures to admire and eat!
Both workshops will last 3 hours and take place in Cantina Comunale of La Morra. The first of the two meetings is scheduled from 10am to 1pm, Sunday 3rd June. The second will be in the afternoon, from 3pm to 6pm.
Once you have booked the workshop, with a pre-enrolment, you only have to arrive on time together with an apron! All the raw materials to “transform” as well as the tools will be provided by the teacher, Turismo in Langa, the Cantina and the technical sponsors.

At the end of every laboratory, there with be a friendly moment where participants will be able to decide whether to eat their creations, matching them with the Barolo 2008, or take them home to show family and friends.

Every meeting will have a limited access of 10 participants and will cost €68 per person plus €5 for the Turismo in Langa membership card. At the end the participants will receive a participation certificate.
