Rodello hosts the first edition of the Dolcetto Summer Fest

Saturday 8 July 2023: a party with music, tasty food and wine pairings to celebrate Dolcetto wine in all its denominations

Strada del Barolo e grandi vini di Langa and the municipality of Rodello are organizing the first edition of the “Dolcetto Summer Fest”, an event to celebrate and promote the Dolcetto wine, which collects the legacy of the Dolcetto d’Alba Festival organized for eight editions by the Municipality of Rodello. Located at more than 500 meters above sea level, on the ridge of a hill south of Alba, Rodello is known for the cool and windy climate even in summer and for the beautiful view that ranges over the Lower Langa and the plain of the Tanaro river stretching all the way to the Alpine chain on clear days.

This will be the perfect setting for the “Dolcetto Summer Fest”: a great outdoor tasting event, which, on Saturday 8 July 2023, will bring to the historic centre of Rodello more than 40 producers of Dolcetto from different areas of Piedmont, street food with the agri-food producers of Strada del Barolo, workshops, show cooking, a blind tasting contest, DJ sets and much more, to celebrate one of the most representative varieties of Piedmont and discover the charm and authenticity of a village of Langa, still uncontaminated because less frequented by tourists.

Pleasantly fruity and with excellent drinkability, Dolcetto is a versatile wine, which has many identities (there are 12 wines with denomination of origin produced with this vine), which adapts well to different foods: this is why the event program includes, in addition to the presence of the Dolcetto producers, also gastronomic stands. Here it will be possible to taste the products of the territory, experimenting with delicious wine&food combinations in a festive and convivial atmosphere with music, and enjoying the panorama and the pleasant evening breeze that in summer refreshes the village of Rodello.
