Sara Vezza
Loc. Castelletto 39, Monforte d'Alba CNSara Vezza winery has a long history, sweet as the hills on which it was born. A story that begins in the early twentieth century, when Sara’s grandfather, Ernesto, began to cultivate his vineyard.
In 1977 Josetta Saffirio, who has a degree in agriculture, decides to take care of the vineyards of the father. Flanked by her husband Roberto, winemaker, she began to cultivate the vineyards planted by her grandparents after the Second World War. After a few years, Josetta and Roberto fail to produce their first Nebbiolo. In 1985 was presented the first Barolo of the winery, as a result of a passion and a commitment never failed.
After a hiatus in the 90s, Sara Vezza, daughter of Robert and Josetta, decided to devote herself to the family vineyards. In 1999 the Barolo of Josetta Saffirio returned to the market: a wine that tradition has made unmistakable.
