Cadia

Via Roddi-Verduno 62, Roddi CN

Cadia takes its name from the hill in which the winery owns the vineyards: the name “Cadia” used to indicate the best area for high quality wines in Roddi. Limestone soil, dry and hard ensures an amazing, full maturation. In the flat areas the most typical cultivation it’s the hazelnut: our Tonda Gentile Trilobata. From the 18 hectares of the company, 12 are for vineyards and 6 for hazelnuts. Vineyards are located South-West from the city of Alba, within 5 kms distance.

In 1996 Cadia winery was born, thanks to the owner Bruno. This is how it started the production of wine. Today Cadia it’s still family-owned. The winery produces 9 kind of wine, of which: Langhe Arneis, Sauvignon and Chardonnay as white wines, Dolcetto d’Alba, Barbera d’Alba, Barbera d’Alba Superiore, Nebbiolo and Barolo as red wines. Here it’s also cultivated the Verduno Pelaverga, a small native variety made in Verduno area. Each stage in vineyard and winery play an important rule, which is why the wine is essentially balance between natural and human factors effort. The winery it’s always available for tours and tastings on appointment.
