Tastings
Castiglione Falletto
Almost 150 years have passed since its foundation. It was the end of 1800 when Carlo Vietti started the Vietti winery, right in the heart of the Langhe, on the highest point of the medieval village of Castiglione Falletto. In the very same place where it is located today. Vietti produces a large range of wines, all made from the indigenous grape varieties of Piemonte – Arneis, Timorasso, Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto, Freisa and Moscato –  in the following regions/appelations Roero, Colli Tortonesi, Barolo, Barbaresco, Langhe, Monferrato and Colli Tortonesi.

Located in the medieval village of Castiglione Falletto, in the heart of the Barolo region, the Vietti winery was founded in the late 1800’s by Carlo Vietti. The estate has gradually grown, under the guidance of four generations of the Vietti-Currado family over the course of time, and today the estate vineyards include some of the most highly prized terroirs within Piemonte’s finest winegrowing areas. Vietti has always followed along the path of the pursuit of quality, respect of tradition combined with considered experimentation and innovation. The focus lies on producing wines that are the result of the understanding of the individual terroir as the origin of wines of unique and extraordinary quality and the artisanal, non-invasive working philosophy in the vineyards and cellar. In 2016 the winery was acquired by the Krause Family and is looking to a future with even more promising and stimulating prospect. All this while maintaining the approach, culture, and values for which Vietti has always been known.
