Some stories are born long ago, shaped by repeated gestures, by hands working the land, and by hills that keep the memory of generations. Mine is one of those stories. I am a young farmer who, with courage and passion, decided in 2019 to create her own organic winery in the Langhe hills. After completing my studies at the Grinzane Cavour Agricultural School, I chose to turn the knowledge I had gained and my love for the land into a personal project, built day by day, following the values passed down to me by my family. The roots of this journey go back to the early 1900s, when my great-grandfather Battista began dedicating himself to the world of wine. Since then, the vineyard has been part of our family story: a quiet and steadfast passion, nurtured over time and passed down from generation to generation, along with respect for the land and its natural rhythms. In 2019, not yet thirty, I felt it was time to take an important step: producing my first bottles and signing them with my name. This gesture represents the desire to continue a century-old tradition, while interpreting it with a fresh, authentic, and aware perspective. Roberta Valletti Farm was officially born that year, carrying with it the heritage of passion and knowledge of five generations. My production philosophy is based on careful choices: a few labels, produced in limited quantities, allowing me to personally oversee every stage of the work, from tending the vines to winemaking. Grape cultivation and wine production follow certified organic practices. Every action is designed to respect the vineyard’s natural balance, enhance the territory, and let the land, climate, and time express themselves in the glass. I believe in viticulture built on listening, patience, and daily presence, where nothing is left to chance. Alongside wine, another regional excellence has always been part of our family tradition: hazelnuts. The cultivation of hazelnut trees is a deep connection with the Langhe and its agricultural heritage. In line with the company’s philosophy, hazelnuts and their derived products also follow organic farming systems, fully respecting the environment and the quality of the raw material. Each bottle of wine and each hazelnut harvest tell the same story: care, authenticity, and respect. They are the result of artisanal work that combines traditional knowledge with contemporary sensitivity, aiming to highlight what the land offers without forcing it. Today, my farm is a meeting point between past and future: a place that looks ahead with determination, without forgetting where it all began. Because the land, before being cultivated, must be listened to—and every product is, above all, a story to be savored.
