Gabutti di Boasso Franco

Boasso’s farm was born during the 50s, immediately after war, when Giuseppe, back to the second world war, restarted to deal with his land. It is a typical, ancient piedmontese farm, with different kind of crops: grapevine, hazelnuts, fields, meadows and a small breeding, all what was necessary for the familiar needs.
Thanks to Franco, Giuseppe’s son, new lands were bought and the focus on the most profitable farming wsas started. During the 70-80s, the fields and the meadows are, little by little, converted to poplars and hazel, while the breeding is totally given up.
In the middle of the 80’s the farm starts to make wine with a part of their grapes which, until then, were sold to other winemakers. The rural house, situated in the Gabutti area of Serralunga, in the middle of the homonym geographical mention of Barolo is, little by little restructured, creating at the beginning a small cellar, enlarged and fit to the present needs during the following years.
In 2010 the farmhouse I Grappoli was born; it is located close to the cellar, to host our customers and all the tourists choosing the Langhe for a holiday in the name of nature.
Nowadays the farm has 7 hectares of vineyard as much as hazel, handled by Franco and his sons Ezio and Claudio, together with their relevant families.
The typical wines of the Langhe are produced: Dolcetto d’Alba, Barbera d’Alba, Langhe Nebbiolo and Barolo. A Roero Arneis and a Moscato d’Asti complete the range.
