For the fourth consecutive year, the Strada de il Barolo e grandi vini di Langa e Terre Derthona – Strada del Vino e dei Sapori dei Colli Tortonesi comes to Milan for an extraordinary tasting event promoted by the Consorzio Tutela Vini Colli Tortonesi e I Vini del Piemonte in partnership with Confcommercio Milano and with the collaboration of Go Wine, an association that promotes the culture of wine and wine tourism. The prestigious Palazzo Bovara, an important example of Lombard Neoclassicism in the center of Milan, considered one of the jewels in the crown of the city, will once again host the initiative.

On Thursday 13 March 2025, the east wing of Palazzo Bovara will be transformed into an ideal journey through the Langhe and the Tortonesi Hills, where the public of selected wine lovers and operators in the sector will have the opportunity to taste dozens of labels of Barolo Docg and Timorasso Derthona Doc that the producers will present in person in their many facets, offering tastings of different crus and vintages. The agri-food companies associated with the Strada del Barolo and Terre Derthona will offer small tastings of excellent products from the Piedmont region.

The event will also feature a tasting lounge featuring Elisa Semino, the “Queen of Timorasso”, owner of the La Colombera winery in Vho (AL), and Andrea Farinetti, owner of the historic Giacomo Borgogno & Figli winery in Barolo (CN), who will tell their story and offer tastings of wines that are particularly representative of their production, not present at the tasting tables set up in the rooms of the palace. The lounge will be hosted by Francesco Quarna, DJ and winemaker, passionate about viticulture and food and wine, who hosts the podcast “Deejay Wine Club” and “Summer Camp” live on Radio Deejay.

Before the opening to the public, an in-depth Masterclass on Barolo Docg and Timorasso Derthona Doc is scheduled, reserved (by invitation) for restaurateurs and operators in the sector, organised in collaboration with Confcommercio Milano and EPAM – Associazione Provinciale Milanese Pubblici Esercizi, which will be conducted by Davide Buongiorno, Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Graduate, WSET Certified Educator and judge at the Decanter World Wine Awards.
