Alba prepares to welcome the producers of the Consorzio Vini Etna DOC on the occasion of Vinum

From 25 to 27 April 2025, a Sicilian delegation will be hosted by the Strada del Barolo and the Alba International White Truffle Fair Authority for an event dedicated to the exchange and valorization of Italian wine excellence.

The Strada del Barolo e grandi vini di Langa and the Ente Fiera Internazionale del Tartufo Bianco d’Alba are pleased to announce the welcome to Alba and the Langhe of a delegation of producers from the Consorzio Tutela Vini Etna DOC, from 25 to 27 April 2025, on the occasion of Vinum.

This important visit of the Sicilian delegation represents a further step in the fruitful path of collaboration and exchange between two iconic territories of the Italian wine scene, as demonstrated by the previous initiatives of November 2024, when a group of producers from the Consorzio Tutela dei Vini Etna DOC had been guests in the Langhe on the occasion of the Fiera Internazionale del Tartufo Bianco d’Alba, and of February 2025, when the Director of the Ente Fiera del Tartufo Stefano Mosca and the Director of the Strada del Barolo Daniele Manzone had been welcomed in Sicily together with some Barolo producers, during the Festa di Sant’Agata.

The delegation of the Consorzio Tutela Vini Etna DOC will have a dedicated stand inside Vinum, to offer visitors the opportunity to discover and taste the unique wine expressions of the Sicilian volcano.

One of the highlights of the visit will be the Masterclass themed “Etna & Barolo”, an unmissable opportunity to learn more about the peculiarities of two great Italian wines through the guided tasting of six selected labels. Details for purchasing tickets for the Masterclass will be communicated soon on the official channels of Vinum and Strada del Barolo.

The program dedicated to the Etna delegation also includes a series of activities aimed at promoting knowledge of the Barolo territory and the exchange of experiences with local producers:

  • A Masterclass on Barolo that will offer an in-depth overview of the history, characteristics and denominations of this famous Piedmontese wine.
  • A convivial “friendship dinner” that will feature the producers of Strada del Barolo and their Sicilian guests, creating an opportunity for networking and sharing passions and knowledge.
  • An “Eductour” that will include a visit and tasting at two prestigious wineries in the Barolo area, offering a first-hand look at the viticultural practices and production philosophies of the area, together with a panoramic tour to admire the beauty of the UNESCO heritage landscape.

This initiative once again demonstrates the desire of the Strada del Barolo and the Ente Fiera Internazionale del Tartufo Bianco d’Alba to promote the culture of excellent Italian wine, creating synergies and growth opportunities for producers and offering the public unique experiences.
