The edition 2011 of the Barolo & Friends took place at the Autoworld, November 21st

November 21st it was the Piemonte day in Brussels: Barolo & Friends Event back to Belgium. Organized by Consorzio I Vini del Piemonte and Strada del Barolo e Grandi Vini di Langa, have seen the presence of more than 30 wine cellars and typical gastronomic products from Piemonte. The location was the Autoworld of Brussels.

Beside the main event, a contest for cavist and sommeliers took place at the Autoworld, organized by the partner Vinopress.

The afternoon was dedicated to the trade, with BtoB meetiongs and two worshops on Gavi and Moscato d’Asti DOCG and Barolo and Dogliani DOCG, while the evening over 250 guests of the Bank ING tasted the wines from the Piedmontese winers present in Bruxelles and the best of Piemonte cuisine of  Carlo de Pascale and the staff of Mmmmh!

In the late afteernoon, the Langhe, Roero and Monferrato presentation for the Unesco candidacy to World Heritage by the seat of the Piedmont Region in Brussels.

The Barolo & Friends event was organized in collaboration with: Consorzio per la tutela dell’Asti DOCG, Bottega del Vino Dogliani, Consorzio Golden Gavi, l’Associazione per il patrimonio dei paesaggi vitivinicoli di Langhe Monferrato e Roero, l'Associazione Piemontesi in Belgio and the Provincia di Cuneo.
